In 2001 at the State Convention held in Grand Turk, then Brother Wesley Missick was appointed District Overseer for the Bight and Five Cays. He began this work operating out of the office of Bishop C N Williams; but as you can imagine with no building or available land in site this was a challenging task.

To establish a presence in the Five Cays community he embarked on a series of house to house visitations and made enquires with the appropriate governmental departments for land on which he could build. Eventually a building became available to lease with the option to purchase after three years; but, as God would have it, that was not the building He desired as the permanent location for His tabernacle.

During one of Brother Missick’s routine visits through the Five Cays community he casually met and began conversation with Mrs. Sylvia Campbell. He recalled how the nature of their meeting seemed destined as their conversation laid the framework for establishing the initial location for The Church of God of Prophecy Five Cays. Renovation began in October 15 th 2002 and through a series of donations from companies, members of the community, fellow church supporters and his own funds –  on Sunday, December 08 th 2002 the doors of “The Church of God of Prophecy Mission, Five Cays” was officially opened.

This service was conducted by the former National Overseer, Bishop Clarence N Williams and marked the occasion when Brother Missick was officially ordained as the Pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy Mission, Five Cays. Additionally, Sister Erma Missick was appointed church clerk along with the induction of five (5) founding members. In April 2003 during the State Convention, Brother Lighton Jolly was ordained as Associate Pastor and served faithfully until 2012 when he was called to Whitby, North Caicos.

June 2004 mark the occasion of the ground breaking sermon of the churches’ present location and four years later, on August 05 2008 Pastor Missick and his congregation officially moved to the present location. Together with Associate Pastors Eustace Musgrove & Marie Wilson and member and followers the call to minister in Five Cays and beyond was answered.
