Alveria Beatrice Landy Duncombe was born in Sandy Point, North Caicos to the parents of Evenner Landy and the late Alfred Landy. She attended church and Sunday School at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. At the age of 16, she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and was baptized and became a member of that congregation. She played an active role in the worship service and was also the leader of the Youth Fellowship.
Alveria obtained her education at the Sandy Point School under the tutelage of the late Jessie Campbell. She later on moved to the Kew Primary School, now Charles Hubert James Primary. She was blessed in passing two (2) subjects: Bible Knowledge and Handwriting. In her quest for deeper knowledge, she successfully completed an overseas course in Secretarial Studies, Art and Computer Programming.
In 1972, Alveria got married to Stanley Duncombe and transferred her membership to the Church of God of Prophecy in Kew where she served as Youth Leader, Youth Choir Director, Women’s Missionary Band Secretary, Sunday School Secretary and Teacher. She is presently the Mission Director, Clerk and Treasurer for the past 46 years having served under six (6) Pastors and National Protocol. Alveria is a faithful and committed member of the Church of God of Prophecy. It is her determination to hold out to the end, for Jesus is with her and on Him she can depend.

Similarly, in October 2005, Alveria Duncombe was awarded for years of dedicated service as a Justice of the Peace from 1987 to present. In 2009, Alveria retired but thought she was too young to stay at home and strongly believed she had much more to contribute to her community. As a result, she was employed by the National Trust as Operation Clerk for the Wades Green Plantation in December of 2018. However, she was later transferred to the Flamingo Pong site
Alveria is a sociable individual. Her hobbies include art, handcraft, singing, music and fishing. She is a proud mother of 3 daughters and one son: Althea, Angella, Alverna and Thomas Duncombe. God has blessed her to be a grandmother of thirteen (13) grandchildren and even more so blessed to still have her mother, Evenner Landy of 97 years old with her today. Alveria has a wonderful, supportive family, a host of friends, loving Pastors, sisters and brothers in Christ. She strongly believes and holds to her heart Phillipians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” She lives her life on her favourite song, “One Day at a Time Sweet Jesus.” May the blessings and favour of God continue to overshadow her life as she serves her Master until the end.
